Overview

This assignment will provide students the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in response to the case study topic identified in Module 2 and further developed the course.  Based on what you have learned in class from your readings, presentations, and from others, develop a fictitious vignette. The vignette which is to be established on the chosen topic will allow the student to apply concepts as a trained resilient counselor or caregiver.   

Instructions

Students will submit a case study in Module 7.

• An 8-page case study (The Title page and References page do not count).  Do not include an abstract.
• Number of citations: Minimum of eight (8). Integrate the sources you identified in your annotated bibliography as well as your course texts and others as needed. The journal articles must be within the last five years.
• Title page: Use APA format
• Create a fictious military vignette based on your topic selection from Module 2.
• Exploration: In this section you will want to create a variety of challenges this individual(s) might experience.
  • Intervention and Support: Identify and integrate potential resiliency-based solutions and resources into the intervention and support of the vignette.  
  • Identify and integrate biblical insights and principles into the intervention and support of the vignette.  
• Application: This section is about you. Identify and discuss your personal strengths and limitations as a caregiver, leader, or counselor that you would bring to bear upon this fictitious vignette.
• Conclusion:  The assignment concluded with a thorough summation of the vignette, the challenges, interventions and resources selected, and personal insights gained.
• References: In APA (7^th ed.) Professional edition.

Students will use current APA Professional ediction Template and present ideas in a professional (graduate level) writing and academic voice.  Points will be deducted for failure to follow current APA Standards, which includes the use correct APA headings, proper citations, and references. A title and a reference page are to be included.
