A travelogue is a journal that documents your travels, including your observations and the connections between your experience and the history of the places you are visiting.
This week, you will draft a brief paper that will become an introduction to your final travelogue project.
Read the resources on Decolonization, the Cold War, World War II, and India’s Partition and submit a short paper of at least 300–400 words responding to the following prompts:
- Define your understanding of decolonization and how it contributed to rising nationalist movements.
- What geographical features contributed to or impeded the development of country borders? Describe them.
- How does the partition of “British” India reveal the values of rising nationalism?
- Do you believe the partition of India was fair? Why or why not?
