The second assessment will be a presentation (50%) in which you identify
and justify critical international human resource management issues.
You need to prepare a 20-minute presentation on the critical analysis of
the importance of HRM practices to manage people in the organisation. In
doing so, focus on the key issues with regards to managing people within
a global context, using good examples from different MNCs.
Ensure that you use MS Power Point as the format. Slides should be very
well designed with excellent content. You need to cite academic
references and quote examples from different MNCs to reflect conceptual
understanding and practical application. There needs to be a minimum of
15-20 references in the reference list. As a MINIMUM the Reference List
should include three refereed academic journals and five academic books.
Be prepared for the actual presentation within the given time frame.
Ensure that slides are presented with a professional diction and
accurate citing.
There needs to be a very effective integration and analysis of the
theoretical and conceptual frameworks and models relating to
International HRM. This needs to be supported by thoughtful and incisive
reflection and comprehensive evaluation of the key issues and themes
introduced.
Presentation needs to cover below elements:
– Highlight Major HRM Practices
– Critical Analysis of HR Practices with sound examples
– Key Issues in Managing People in a Global Scenario
Incorporate real life examples along with good citations using Harvard
Convention
