Your assignment is to submit a Critical Thinking Journal entry on the topic below. Research anticrime efforts, victimization reduction programs, offender deterrence programs, and media-based tip programs, and use your research to support your position on the following question:

1. Is the media more damaging and a potential cause of crime or effective as a cure for crime? Discuss.

2. Utilize at least two (2) different programs in your discussion to support your position.

Discuss the impact that different types of media have on public perceptions of the criminal justice system.
