SCENARIO
You are the Medical Office Section Chief in the finance division for the LiveWell organization and are responsible for patient access, medical information, and patient accounts. LiveWell is acquiring two medical office buildings, and you have been tasked with interviewing the five current supervisors from all the medical office facilities. You must vet them to determine the best three supervisors to retain during the merger and which two will be encouraged to apply for alternate positions at LiveWell. You will create an interview tool to evaluate the responses of the candidates. The tool will also include alerts that will assist in the identification of problematic leadership tactics.
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare an interview tool that includes these three parts:
1. Write three questions for the candidates that address the following:
- Describe a change management concept or theory to support effective change during the merger.
- Explain ways to engage in a culture that supports change, growth, and advancement.
- Describe how to manage the merger in an optimistic and supportive manner.
2. Write two ideal responses for each of your three questions.
3. Write one alert response to be cautious of for each of your three questions.
The interview tool should have clearly demarcated parts with labels, and it should be professional in appearance. It should use complete sentences, proper grammar, spelling, and citations when needed.
