1. The American Hospital Association publishes an annual environmental scan of the US healthcare industry; attached is their 2019 edition. Select two items from the report and identify at least one opportunity and one threat to your organization. You may use as “your organization” your department, unit, location, overall system, or if you are not employed in healthcare, a healthcare-related organization with which you are familiar. 2. Examples of Mission Statements

Do some searching and find a Mission statement and very briefly critique it. Is it believable? Does it make sense given what you know about the organization? If the Mission Statement also includes Vision and Values, be sure to include those. Healthcare organizations are preferable but other types of organizations, profit or non-, are also acceptable. 3. Complete the attached worksheet, describing Mission, Vision, and Values for your case. Note that in some cases a mission and or vision statement may be provided as part of the case description. Evaluate these and update them if appropriate.
