The Annotated Bibliography

  • An Annotated Bibliography helps us keep our sources in order, and it provides us with reasons we want to use the sources in an essay.
  • Consider the Annotated Bibliography an expanded Works Cited (which used to be called the Bibliography) where each source, formatted per MLA, also contains a brief summary of the source, any information about the author that shows credibility, and how this source supports the point of our essay.
