This week, we will explore ways to manage time effectively. One of those strategies is prioritizing. Just as important as prioritizing your tasks is making your goals a priority. If we don’t do something every week, or even each day, to get closer to our goals, we have not made them a priority. Simply having goals isn’t enough. We have to work to achieve them, and that means spending time on them, reaching the short-term goals to get to the long-term goals.

You have been managing your time for years, so you probably already have some ideas about what works for you. a). What are some effective time management strategies you have used at home, at school, or in the workplace? b). Why were they successful?
Procrastination can be detrimental to reaching our goals, and it can cause stress. There are many reasons someone might procrastinate. c). What are some potential reasons for procrastination and, d). what are some ways to overcome or avoid it?
As you consider your academic goals and your personal goals, it is important to think about whether those goals meet the SMART criteria. Focus on one specific academic or personal goal and your plan to achieve it. e). Which of the SMART components might need to be revisited for that goal and why?
