TO SUMMARIZE:

1. You need to select two paintings from the Norton Simon Museum or website. The painting needs to be created either before 1800 (for Part I of the paper) or after 1800 (for Part II of the paper).
2. You need to grapple with WHY you chose those paintings and what you’ve
learned from the comparisons.
3. You need to follow the format of this paper exactly, listing the material indicated
in the order indicated. For example, if the first painting you chose is by Caravaggio,
you will write: A. 1. Name of artist: Caravaggio, etc. (This is just an example. There
are no Caravaggio paintings at the Norton Simon Museum.
